SYNOPSIS
Baba Kohei, director of the local clinic Baba Hospital in a small port town, suddenly dies and his daughter Asuka (Kutsuna Shiori), a nurse of one year, searches around for his successor. Then Tsuruta Masayoshi (Maki Daisuke) suddenly shows up. He used to work with her father at Baba Hospital but left the town because of some trouble 12 years ago. Now he is here with Baba’s IOU for the 100 million yen he loaned and assumes the position of clinic director on this pretext. Asuka, who adored Tsuruta in the past, is shocked by the complete change in his behaviour now that they are reunited after 12 years as well as resents his high-handedness. Although he clashes with her and the townspeople, Asuka gradually sees with her own eyes that he is a genuine doctor who not only considers a patient’s position more than anyone else, but also diagnoses and treats illnesses that other doctors have a hard time detecting.

Pin to Kona / ぴんとこな [2013]

Kyonosuke Kawamura (Yuta Tamamori) is the successor to the prestigious Kishima family. He performs as a kabuki stage actor. One day, as he is leaving the theater, Kyonosuke Kawamura hears cheers from girls who are waiting for him. There, Ayame Chiba (Umika Kawashima), who also attends the same high school, approaches him and shouts out "that is not Kagamijishi and I want my money back!"

Due to excessive expectation as the successor of the Kishima family, Kyonosuke becomes sick and tired of kabuki. He plays with best friend Haruhiko Sakamoto (Jesse Lewis) and female fans until late into the night. When he arrives back home, his father Yozaemon (Goro Kishitani), who is a master in kabuki, scolds him. An argument ensues. Yozaemon has never acknowledged Kyonosuke's efforts. That is a big reason why Kyonosuke has become estranged from kabuki. He also can't forgive his father for always placing kabuki as his first priority. His father did not show up when his mother became gravely ill and died.

Kyonosuke then meets Ayame at school. She again complains about his performance. Kyonosuke also learns that Ayame has a favorite actor. He's embarrassed by her complaints. For his next performance, Kyonosuke shows up practice, but he is chewed out by his instructor Matsukichi (Masahiro Takashima). Others, including Shohei Sawayama (Hokuto Matsumura), watch this and make fun of Kyonosuke behind his back. Kyonosuke also hears from his rival Ichiya Sawayama (Yuma Nakayama) that he was shocked at his performance. Kyonosuke feels numb.

Hara-chan is drunk at a cheap pub and blabbering. It is a daily occurrence. He is always vexed, but has neither the wisdom nor the courage to break it up. This is Hara-chan, the main character of the manga ‘Nakuna, Hara-chan’ (Don’t Cry, Hara-chan). The illustrator of this manga is Echizen-san, a plain-looking lady who works at a fish paste factory. In place of a diary, she draws this comic strip in a notebook with all the pent-up resentment within her. This is the only outlet for Echizen-san who seems to have lost her passion for life. Then one day, a miracle happens. Hara-chan comes to the sudden realisation that he is looking at the world for the first time. The sun’s warmth, the rustle of wind, the twinkle of the stars… He has sprung out of the manga world and into the “real” world. In the “real” world, Hara-chan is in love with Echizen-san. Even if he is not a human in this “reality”…
